Do Bananas Help with Anxiety? Here’s What You Need to Know.

We’ve all heard the saying “an apple a day keeps the Doctor away” but did you know a Banana a day can also keep the Doctor away? Not your regular doctor, but a psychiatrist for your mental health.

Anxiety plays a huge part in our everyday life, most people don’t know how to control their anxiety. Just meditating doesn’t really do the trick, you need to have a well balanced diet mixed in with regular meditation. One certain fruit helps with this in a major way then you probably didn’t know. And that fruit is Bananas.

Bananas are known as natural meta-blockers which can help with reducing anxiety and keeping it fully away. This means that bananas block adrenaline from attaching to beta receptors. This can help lower heart rate and calm your mind. Many athletes eat bananas to help relax them before a game to help with performance anxiety, and also men in general who suffer from ED have said bananas have helped them with their performance anxiety.

Bananas also contain a good amount of Magnesium which is a home remedy medicine for any kind of mental health related issue. Add in the fact Bananas contain potassium, vitamin C and fiber, many researchers have found that it is important for students to eat bananas as it helps to be more focused while studying and help with anxiety when taking tests, helping improve test scores. Adding almonds, peanuts or cashew butter on your bananas as toppings can give you an extra boost of stress relief due to nuts having a high amount of Magnesium.

To answer our original question, yes! If you’re dealing with stress, anxiety or any other mental health related symptoms, start eating a Banana a day. It will definitely keep the Psychiatrist away and have you feeling happy!
